Description

A course utilizing the nursing process emphasizing primary and secondary prevention with special consideration given to developmental and sociocultural variables in the care of the child rearing family. Practice and service opportunities will be available in acute care and community settings (including service in NURS 120, NURS 200, NURS 220) where the student has the opportunity to develop awareness of client needs, collaborate with other healthcare providers, and to provide education to clients. A reflection paper will be required for each service learning experience. Three hours theory and one hour clinical.
