Description

Introduction to the concepts, control, and applications of robotics. Three-dimensional kinematics and computer control of robot manipulators, with applications to modern automated manufacturing methods. Image processing algorithms needed for task automation. Introduction to control theory. Implementation of manufacturing control systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Mobile robotics including locomotion, localization, and navigation. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory each week.
