Description
Integration of principles from mechanics of materials, materials properties and processes, and machine design through hands-on experiments and design projects. Design, fabrication, testing, and evaluation of mechanical components while utilizing various modeling and instrumentation techniques. Emphasis on understanding the relationships between material properties, stress–strain behavior, failure theories, and system mechanics. Three hours of laboratory each week.
