Description

An introduction to the pedagogical knowledge, skills, and dispositions related to effective instruction and assessment in Social Studies. Teacher candidates become familiar with frameworks of instruction that support multi-grade contexts, developmentally appropriate practices, and differentiating for diversity. Classroom observation and micro-teaching are required. Incorporates fieldwork that includes an intensive culminating field experience in conjunction with EDUC 324, EDUC 327, EDUC 331, EDUC 339, and EDUC 454, providing opportunity for application of knowledge, skills, and dispositions.
