Description

A course focusing on applied statistics used in quantitative research studies in the health professions. Topics include descriptive and inferential statistics, probabilities, hypotheses testing, relationship testing, reliability, and validity. The course includes the critique of statistical findings in peer-reviewed journal articles for evidence-based application in the healthcare setting. SPSS (statistical software) is used to analyze and display data. Basic computer competency is assumed.
