Catalog 2010 — Indefinite

Description

This course familiarizes students with the complex range of decisions and activities that arise in the initiation and operation of a nonprofit organization. This is accomplished by an immersive academic experience that involves students directly in service for others within the context of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. In addition to real-world challenges, participants study text, online, and periodical material to provide an intelligent consideration of corporate forms, sources of revenue, constituencies, operational considerations, and nonprofit products and services. This class includes exploring relevant readings from E. G. White. A student may receive credit for this course from only one program. This course is cross-listed with MGNT 452.
