This course, designed to be taken concurrently with MUCT 111 , is for prospective music majors and minors whose placement scores indicate a need of fundamental musical knowledge. Students will receive instruction in the elements of music, i.e. pitch and rhythmic notation, key and time signatures, major and minor scales, intervals and chords. Two class periods per week are required.
