This is the second semester of an introductory biology course aimed primarily at science majors and pre-professional students. It familiarizes students with biology as a scientific discipline, the scientific method, and the rich diversity within the plant and animal kingdoms. Key topics include reproductive patterns, anatomy and physiology, and ecological interactions. General Biology serves as a prerequisite for most subsequent biology courses. Each week, the course consists of three lectures and one three-hour laboratory session.
