Description

A study of medically relevant biological toxins found in the venoms and poisons of plants, animals, and other living organisms. We will focus on the treatment of envenomation; the major families/types of toxins found in snakes, spiders, cnidarians, and insects; their mode of action; and their potential use in drug development. Two lectures and one three hour laboratory per week.
