Description

An introduction to the principles of experimental design and data analysis in the biological sciences. Topics include the designing of controlled experiments, understanding data and data types, describing central tendency and variability in data, and hypothesis testing using R statistical software. Emphasis is on the proper application of basic statistical tools in the analysis of biological data and the proper reporting of such analysis. E. O. Grundset lecture attendance is required.
