An introduction to the basic principles and methods of epidemiology, with an emphasis on critical thinking and data analysis. The course will demonstrate how epidemiology is used to understand and promote health at a population level. Topics will include basic epidemiological study designs, sources of data, health measures, and data analysis including the use of Geographic Information System (GIS) software.
