This course is designed to provide the students with an understanding of the most commonly used materials in the construction industry, their inherent and manipulated properties, and industry applications. The history and development of materials will also be considered. Individual and group projects related to the studied materials will rpvide hands-on manipulation and personal creativity. Field trips will be scheduled to supplement student exposure and learning.
