Description

This course explores advanced topics in regard to corporate financial management. The objective is to focus on the factors that influence the decisions of corporate managers and the impact of those decisions on the value creation of the firm in terms of working capital, capital investment, capital structure, and shareholder distributions. The approach of the course will be rigorous and analytical. The topics covered include: working capital issues, capital budgeting topics, capital structure, leases, hybrid securities, derivatives, shareholder distributions, mergers, divestitures, firm failure, and international financial issues. This course is cross-listed with FNCE 548. A student may receive credit for this course from only one program.
