An introduction to financial accounting. Emphasis is on uses of information contained in financial statements. Students are also introduced to the principles of managerial accounting. Successful completion of this course with a grade of B- or higher fulfills the accounting course requirement (ACCT 505) for non-business undergraduate majors at Southern seeking admission into the Master of Business Administration program. This course also equips non-business undergraduate students with knowledge and skills needed for future managerial roles or entrepreneurial endeavors. This course does not fulfill any required or elective course for any business degree.
