Commercial construction principles, materials, and assemblies. Introduction to materials used in the commercial construction industry, their inherent and manipulated properties, and industry applications. The history and development of materials will also be considered. Individual and group projects related to the studied materials will provide hands-on manipulation and personal creativity. Field trips will be scheduled to supplement student exposure and learning.
