New Director for CIRC


Dr. Tyson Hall has been leading CIRC as the director since its creation in 2011.  He is now serving as Graduate Dean at Southern Adventist University.  Now, with the arrival of Dr. Harvey Alférez, joining us from Montemorelos University in Mexico, Dr. Alférez will be taking the director responsibilities at CIRC.


February 14, 2022, Collegedale, TN.  Dr. Tyson Hall is leaving as Center for Innovation and Research in Computing (CIRC) director to focus mainly on his new position as Graduate Dean at Southern Adventist University.  
 
The new CIRC director is Dr. Harvey Alférez, who comes to CIRC from Montemorelos University in Mexico. He has many years of academic and research experience along with a wide variety of management skills and research in data science and big data analysis. Dr. Alférez is excited to work with students in research projects and to make CIRC grow, while helping customers with the special requirements. 
 
We want to thank Dr. Tyson Hall for his years of leadership and vision and offer our best wishes for his new challenges and work.  We are grateful for all the energy he invested in CIRC over these years working alongside student programmers.  He leaves a big legacy behind.
